Dr. Takashi Murata

Takashi Murata graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan University in 1986. On his thesis, he started studying spatial regulation of cell elongation and cell division in plants, in laboratory of Prof. Masamitsu Wada. He entered graduate School of Tokyo Metropolitan University, and took PhD degree in Wada Lab at 1991. From 1992 to 2001, he had a job in University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. In University of Tokyo, he acquired electron microscopic tecnique and started studies on microtubule organizing centers in plants. At 2001, he moved to NIBB as an Associate Professor. He continues studies on microtubules in Prof. Mitsuyasu Hasebe’s Lab.
